M.T.A Big Service Cut

With this economic crisis going the state and the city of New York is going to budget problems. Governor Paterson has being saying for quit some time that New York is running out of money but just this week I found out that the M.T.A will be cutting service. Well I thought to my self what can they possibly cut now. Well they are cutting to train lines and cutting back on bus service. This was the obvious action that they would have taken, so I wasn't surprise. What surprise me was the elimination of student metro card. This was alarming to me at first but I thought that of coarse mayor Bloomberg and governor Paterson would not let that happen. Well I was wrong they let it happen and now mayor Bloomberg is proposing another way to take money out of people's money. This was alarming the lack of interest the mayor had towards this especially to me being one of his young supporter. Now the M.T.A wants the Board Of Education to pay for the metro cards but with no one having money this will be going no where. This will make parent pay $1,000 per child to send to school. Please keep in mind this is all happening because a miss $400 million calculation accountants. My personal question is who would make a $400 million mistake like this.

The Polo Ralph Lauren boots have becoming very popular this fall/winter 09. Just like the UGGs for women the Polo Ralph Lauren boots have been booming everywhere in NYC for young men. One that I see is the Ranger boots, which I myself will be getting a pair. These are nice looking and simple but with great detail. What had attracted me to these boots in particular is the belt that goes across the front of the boot. I ask one of my friends that had a pair what had attracted him to the Ranger Polo boots. He simply said "The belt was what really got me to buy them".

Fall/Winter Scarf trend

This summer while watching the pictures of the men Burberry winter 09 runways I couldn't help but notice, what look like a scarf around the models neck. Well it was just that but the only difference is that this scarf has no end to it. These are known as snood or eternity scarf to others. I knew I had to have one and the Burberry one would be too expensive, so I waited for H&M to come out with the cheaper version of it to buy it. I did just that this past weekend and it's just as I had in vision it and looks good. Store like Urban Outfitters are already carrying their own snood ranging from XL to small. This kind of scarf can run from $14.95(H&M)-$295(Burberry) and they are winter number one must have for both men and women.

Bank Of America

Well yesterday in my job workshop we talked about money management and how banks make every this easier. That’s all it took for me to open a bank account in Bank of America. I’ve been debating which bank should I choose Chase or Bank of America for some time. Although most people wanted me to go with Chase I felt this personal connection to Bank of America the one reason is because I had a friend who worked in Chase and said they charge you for anything. The other reason is that Bank of America was the bank I said I will have my money since I first saw it and the red makes it look cool but that my personal opinion. Today I woke up and went all by myself to open a checking and savings account. The lady there was very nice and did everything fast. Then a guy came to help me open my account. He was fast and clear gave me all the information and showed me how to use their ATM machines (which I knew already). All took about 30 min but it seems even shorter, then he said he will call me in a few days to help me out with other thing I may need help with. Now I’m glad I was able to make my own decision base on what I like and wanted for me.

Today President Obama spoke about student doing their part in school. This was along due to wakening to this generation which seem to be going no where. This speech was thought to be controversial but it was nothing close to it. Obama spoke about what other generations in pass have done for this country and that is up too us to set the plate even higher. He also goes to say that with failure come with success in life and that most successful people in this world has had more failure to get where they wanted to be. Marijuana Plantation On The Rise

Last year their was 49 forest in 10 state infected with marijuana plantation but this year is even higher with 61 forest and 16 states. It's believe that drug cartels are getting more aggressive to expand their illegal product to the U.S. These cartels are moving from the east to the west coast making it not safe for campers and hikers around the country. This isn't the only problem the trash left behind by the pot by the pot farmers is also a danger. Since it believed that a Marijuana camp sparked a fire that burn about 88,000 acres in California. The real danger is that these pot farms are near tourist place where men are armed protecting these pot camp.

A reported 800,000 people in New York City has had swine flu that is 10% of NYC population and out of those 800,000 people only 47 died. Nation wide it’s expected to affect nearly have the country with about 90,000 death by this fall. It is said that the vaccine won’t be ready until October. The mayor will hold a press conference on Tuesday about this epidemic.
